Reporter comes under fire for asking Morocco captain ‘inappropriate’ question about teammates’ sexuality

A reporter confronted heavy criticism after asking the captain of Morocco’s women’s national team about her teammates’ sexuality because it pertains to the nation’s legal guidelines in opposition to same-sex relationships throughout a press convention this week.

In a press release to Sky News, the BBC issued an apology, calling the query “inappropriate.”

“We acknowledge that the query was inappropriate. We had no intention to trigger any hurt or misery.”
