The star of the 1996 movie hopped on Twitter Friday to congratulate high school golfer Happy Gilmore on his dedication to Ball State College.

Gilmore, whose actual identify is Landon, began going by “Comfortable” as a nickname when he was younger and commenced to compete in tournaments.

“I’m very excited to announce that I’ve dedicated to proceed my tutorial and golf career at Ball State College,” Gilmore wrote. “I’m very grateful for the chance Coach Fleck has given me! I want to thank my household, my mates and coaches who push me on a regular basis!”
The 17-year-old stated Ball State was the proper place for him to proceed his athletic profession.
“Going into the entire recruiting course of, I had such an open thoughts and had nowhere that I used to be set on going,” Gilmore advised GolfChannel.com on Friday by way of telephone. “After calls with Coach [Mike] Fleck, I went up and visited, and I liked the campus; it is small.
