Georgetown University mascot Jack the Bulldog died on the age of 4, the college introduced on Monday.
“With a heavy coronary heart, we share the unhappy information that our beloved Jack the Bulldog has gone over the Rainbow Bridge after a short sickness,” Georgetown College instructed Fox Information Digital. “Please preserve all who cared for and cherished him so dearly in your ideas and prayers.”
“Since 2019, Jack has introduced pleasure to hundreds of members of the Georgetown household together with his ever-ready high-paws, his means to run and drive on the basketball courtroom and his real love for everybody large and small,” the college added.
Jack, whose official title was John F. Carroll, was born on January 24, 2019, in Alberta, Canada. According to Georgetown’s website, he cherished consuming blueberries and strawberries and enjoying together with his armadillo toy.

Jack was introduced onto campus in July 2019 after the earlier Jack, who was within the mascot place since 2013, retired.
The mascot’s webpage mentioned that Jack was walked on Georgetown’s campus a number of instances a day and was a beloved presence at campus occasions. He was cared for by college students and campus employees.
