Former NFL quarterback Ryan Mallett dead after drowning in Florida: report

Former NFL quarterback Ryan Mallett has reportedly died at 35 after tragically drowning in Florida.

The incident occurred in Destin, Florida, based on Deltaplex Information in Arkansas. Mallett was transported from a seaside to a hospital, the place he was pronounced lifeless on arrival, the outlet reported.

The New England Patriots, who Mallett was drafted by within the third spherical of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Arkansas, launched an announcement on the tragic passing.

“The New England Patriots are deeply saddened to study of the sudden and surprising passing of former quarterback Ryan Mallett,” the group wrote on Twitter with an image of Mallett in a Patriots uniform. “Our ideas are with the Mallett household, his former teammates and all who’re mourning his loss.”
