Changes to bus services in Rugby will see an increase in journeys

Modifications are being made to bus companies in Rugby.

Providers working within the city will enhance by the tip of the month, however some journeys might be discontinued as a part of the plans.

From Saturday, July 29, Rugby Service 3A (Newbold–City Centre–Overslade–Woodlands) might be changed by the next new companies:

Service 8: Clifton Street – Church Avenue – ASDA – St. Cross Hospital – Paddox Rise/Ashlawn Gardens – Sainsbury’s – Shakespeare Gardens – Lytham Street – Wentworth Street – ASDA – Church Avenue – Clifton Street – Rail Station– Know-how Drive – Yates Avenue (Glebe Property) – Newbold – Parkfield Property.

Service 8A: Parkfield Property – Newbold – Yates Avenue (Glebe Property) – Know-how Drive – Rail Station – Clifton Street – Church Avenue – ASDA – Wentworth Street – Lytham Street – Shakespeare Gardens – Sainsbury’s – Paddox Rise/Ashlawn Gardens – St. Cross Hospital – ASDA – Church Avenue – Clifton Street.

These companies might be run by Stagecoach, providing an hourly service Monday to Saturday between 7am to 7pm, with a further early morning journey Monday to Friday.

From Monday, July 31, Service 9 (Coton Park –Clifton –City Centre –Rokeby –Hillside – Woodlands – Lime Tree Village) might be withdrawn between Woodlands and Lime Tree Village, apart from one afternoon journey on schooldays to Bilton (Coventry Street / Calverstone Street junction).

This route might be amended to function in a loop at Woodlands by way of Bawnmore Street, Longrood Street, Cymbeline Means and Montague Street again to Bawnmore Street.
