Three Canadians have acquired qualifying draw wild playing cards for the Nationwide Financial institution Open ladies’s match, together with hometown favorite Eugenie Bouchard.
The 29-year-old from Montreal is joined by Carol Zhao of Richmond Hill, Ont., and Toronto’s Katherine Sebov.
Canadians Bianca Andreescu, Leylah Fernandez and Rebecca Marino have already certified for the match’s primary draw after receiving wild playing cards final week.
Bouchard, ranked 212th on this planet, was a Wimbledon finalist in 2014.
The 233rd-ranked Zhao superior by qualifying at Wimbledon earlier this month to play in the primary draw of a Grand Slam for the primary time in her profession. Sebov, at the moment No. 160, certified for the Australian Open in January.
The ladies’s qualifying rounds are scheduled for Aug. 5 and 6 at IGA Stadium.
