The promising Jurie Matthee has reportedly put pen to paper on a contract with Western Province Rugby, and bolster the union’s flyhalf ranks from subsequent season.
In response to a report on Network24the 22-year-old Jurie Matthee has signed a one-year cope with WP Rugby.
A star performer for Maties on this 12 months’s Varsity Cup, Matthee featured for WP within the 2023 Currie Cup and ended the competitors with a powerful outing in a 44-5 victory towards the Sharks.
“I believe that final recreation towards the Sharks, the place he was the Participant of the Match, made them realise he is an efficient participant,” Matthee’s agent, Michael Thomas, was quoted by Network24.
“There was one other union or two that had been , however he’s very completely satisfied concerning the choice he made.”
With Springboks Manie Libbok and Damian Willemse the DHL Stormers’ go-to choices at No 10, and Kade Wolhuter’s severe knee harm, Matthee will present choices for WP alongside Jean-Luc du Plessis and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu subsequent season.
