Olympic champ boos protesters who disrupted Diamond League race: ‘This is not the way to do it’

Karsten Warholm, an Olympic gold medalist for Norway, had no endurance for setting protesters who disrupted the 400-meter hurdles race on Sunday on the Diamond League in Sweden.

Warholm received the race on Sunday after which turned to affix the group booing the protesters. Three individuals knelt on the observe just a few meters from the end line holding two banners that spanned from lanes one to 6. A number of runners broke by them and no athlete seemed to be injured.

Warholm had no banner throughout his path as he was in lane eight however appeared distracted as a fourth protester was in lane seven to take footage of the ordeal. He seemed to be indignant with the protesters as they have been led away by safety.

“It’s permissible to protest, however this isn’t the best way to do it,” he informed Norway’s broadcaster NRK, through Reuters. “It’s disrespectful to those that are right here to do an excellent job.

The 27-year-old is among the high hurdlers on the planet. He’s received two gold medals on the World Championships in addition to two gold medals every within the European Championships and the European Indoor Championships.
